What is an ISRC code

Created by Yusuf Kahya, Modified on Sun, 23 Jun at 8:13 PM by Yusuf Kahya

An ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is a code that gets embedded as data into your song – it works as virtual identification and is a bit like a barcode.

Without an ISRC, your song could be played for free in areas which would otherwise entitle you to royalties.

9ix Music provides ISRCs for free when you upload your music to our platform. Additionally, artists and labels have the ability to embed their own ISRCs into their uploads.
